“Maisha” means “life”. Through design we want to preserve life.
We value every life, every sprout, every idea.

OUR MISSION
Use our design skills as a force for good, and help to accelerate the shift to sustainable solutions that are good for people and planet.

VALUES THAT DRIVE OUR PASSION
Sustainability as a part of the design process.
Design is one of the first steps in creating a product or business. It sets a direction in terms of both aesthetics and implementation. We therefore have the opportunity and responsibility to accompany you from the very beginning of your thinking to ensure that your projects are respectful of our planet. With a holistic approach that combines design and sustainability in one package, we want to help you make a real impact on the challenges ahead.
Solutions exists. Industry is capable. We can act now.
So many innovations are available today. It is often the misconsception that they are costly or not scalable which holds us back. We want to demystify sustainable design and make it easy for every business to implement it. With our designs, we want to invite you to open up the field of possibilities.
Sustainability is beautiful & meaningful.
Sustainable materials and solutions can be as beautiful as regular ones. Through our designs we want to be an inspiration to brands to reassess what’s possible. We believe that when the design is made consciously a product and brand can reach all expectations: luxury, uniqueness and positive impact.

THE TEAM
Maisha sustain is a collective of designers united by a common goal.

THE FOUNDER - CHLOÉ MWENGE
After working in the design field for several years, my heart longed for creating meaningful & sustainable designs with a real positive impact.
Design has always been a passion for me. I studied design for many years. I started with an Applied Arts baccalaureate, a two year diploma in Product Design, a Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Materials, Industrial processes and 3D Modelling, and I ended my studies with a Master’s Degree in Social and Transcultural Design in India.
Besides design, I highly value craftsmanship and people. This why I started my own company 4 years ago. I wanted to be flexible to be able to involve in volontary and personal projects with artisans in India. Since then I worked with clients worldwide, start ups as well as multinationals, and I built a strong expertise in design. Today, my desire is to combine my design expertise with sustainable solutions in one accompaniment.
I want to help companies beyond design, with concrete solutions. That’s the essence of Maisha Sustain.
